finally I can update the website. Many thanks go to Nate . I don't know where to start. We had a blast on the road with GIRLUSH FIGURE in March. We love you girls. Right now we're booking an East Coast tour for September, So I'll be celebrating my birthday on the road on Sept. 18th.

Friday june 30th We're playing Bernies Distillery here in COlumbus with The Bloody Irish Boys and The Zydepunks (from New Orleans). It'll also be our last show as members of the bloody irish boys. We'll be back in Tennessee next month for two shows.

So It's the first post of the new year and almost a month late.Aaron and I were smoking a few cigarettes outside the practice space today talking about all the stuff that's going on with the band and it was decided that maybe a little update on here might be a good idea just in case one of you wants to know. Luckily I couldn't sleep through tenth grade typing class. It's almost the end of January and that doesn't really mean anything in the grand scheme of things but it's time for another random Downtrodn update

So here we go again.......Coming up in March (March 16th-March 26th) we will be doing a tour with our kick ass friends GIRLUSH FIGURE. The dates are being updated on our calander as they solidify but It's starting out in Pittsburgh on March 16th. Then we're coming back through good 'ol Columbus for St. Patty's day with GIRLUSH FIGURE, LEGBONE , and THE BLOODY IRISH BOYS (the band that all of DOWNTRODN is a part of), Then it's Punk Nite in Troy with the same lineup before we leave Ohio to continue the tour, I believe it's  Ending in Ken's homeland of West Virginia. Check the show schedule for further updates.

In June or July We are going back out for another month on the road heading west to the coast and back. This time It will be the normal lineup of DOWNTRODN since Ken is Coming with us now that his father is in good health.

We are also heading back up to our buddy Mitch from LEGBONE's house to seriously jumpstart the website with all his wicked computer knowledge. Things on the list to be done (Merch Page, Hell of a lot more pictures, and whatever we think up after a few drinks)

SO here we are with 3 months gone by with no news. Of course I could take the blame since I'm the only one who can do that from their computer but I've decided in the spirit of Thanksgiving...to blame it on the Pilgrims. Apparently the blanket they gave me as a sign of "peace".was infested with that bird flu that's been going around. Must have mistaken me for an indian because of my mohawk or my kindness to strangers with dumb black buckled hats. I gave it to my pet rock which subsequently has died. Obviously I've been too wrapped up in taking care of the final arrangements. some of his family is from Hawaii and we all know that it's very bad luck for anything inanimate from that group of islands to be removed. If the brady bunch has taught us anything it's that. Anyway it's been a whole other headache.

Now actual DOWNTRODN news...We're still doin our thing. Playing shows ,writing songs, defending the planet from giant flying squirrels....you know band stuff.....Got a tour coming up in March with Girlush Figure. Got another U.S. tour planned for May by ourselves.Got a serious addiction to energy drinks. Got Milk. Gotta dance.

DUE TO MANY REASONS SOME OF OUR SHOW DATES FOR THE TOUR HAVE CHANGED SINCE OUR LITTLE DRUMMER BOY DAERON WILL BE FILLING ON ON DRUMS FOR ALL OR NOTHING FOR THE REST OF THE TOUR SO WE ARE SHARING ALL THE SHOWS NOT JUST THE LAST FEW. TOMORRROW IS CBGB's. BASICALLY THE ONLY SHOWS THAT HAVE CHANGED FOR US ARE THIS WEEKEND AND WE DIDN'T HAVE ANY UNTIL MONDAY ANYWAY. SEE YA IN JUNE

OOOH IT'S FRIDAY THE 13th. We all Know Ken's Excited since Jason is his hero, so everyone close your eyes and picture him sitting there in his apartment surrounded by his horror movie toys watching the Friday the 13th box set listening to Adam and His Package. and you'd probably be right.

We have some more shows listed for the Upcoming Tours . Make sure you come out tomorrow night for the not so creepy "Saturday the 14th" show at Bernies Distillery here in Columbus.

In other news : We are starting to work on the story line for a series of the underground comic book variety about "Cletus The Downtrodn Fetus" . The Idea came from and will be released by; Midgard Comics and Entertainment. It definately won't come out until sometime after we get home in August. It's always cool to work on shit like that with your old friends and Hey now we have something else to do in the tour van besides chain-smoking. Daeron's been re-learning the piano, and Aaron's been busting his ass on the graphic design front. (Check out the new T-shirts....all him).

It's about 4:47 in the morning. The show at Dave and Victorias house was a blast. I miss shows like that - Tons of good friends , a dark basement, floor soaked with beer, people dancing just having a blast , a shitty P.A. , and a dog running through the moshpit. All the bands kicked ass. On a shitty note the Columbus City Police Dept. slapped the house with a fine. Buy them a drink if you run into them down at Bernies or something. Well that's it for now kids. tune in next time for more yadda yadda blah blah.

Well here it is! News installment #2 on the new Downtrodn webhole.
The NEW ALBUM "MISSING IN DISTRACTION" IS HERE and we're having a blowout release show at BERNIE'S(Columbus) on St. Patty's Day Mar. 17th withour good friends LEGBONE, CHILDREN OF REAGAN, and THE FUCKING GODDAMNS. So everybody and their brother better be there!

In touring news: We're going to be doing about a week and half worth of shows with ALL OR NOTHING H.C.(Rodent Popsicle Records) on their midwest/east coast tour in may and june. AONHC are a female-fronted hardcore punk band from Socal and tehy fucking rule! Check 'em out at www.ontherag.net Dates will be posted in the show section. First and foremost, we'd like to welcome you to the brand new and very improved Downtrodn website, courtesy our good friend Mitch from Legbone. Feel free to look around.

Second, the new Downtrodn full length is being pressed as you read this. we'll keep everybody up to date on when and where the release show will be and what stores will be carrying it. we'll also have it available on this site so check out some of our new mp3s for a sneak peak.

Third, we're currently booking a lot more tour dates so check your local listing, Downtrodn just might be playing in your town.
Last but not least, we're getting a lot of new merch so be sure you're on the crest of the new fashion craze that is Downtrodn. New threads will be available at shows and eventually on this very site.
